Christina from Parts Unknown asks: “I recently went out with friends and we were bought a round of shots. The bartender brought us some oatmeal cookie shots, which were really good. Could you tell me what was in it?”
A: Sure. The “Oatmeal Cookie” is pretty tasty, but it’s a good example of a shooter drink that has almost as many recipes for it as there are bartenders who know how to make it. Everyone I know makes it a little differently in one way or another, so I asked around and came up with a short list of popular recipes:
The one I usually use when I make them is equal parts of:
Bailey’s Irish Cream Goldschlager Frangelico
To make one yourself, pour all the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake (or stir sharply) and strain the mixture into a martini, rocks, or other shot glass.
Other recipes(again, equal parts of all ingredients:)
#2 Bailey’s Irish Cream Goldschlager Butterscotch Schnapps
#3 Bailey’s Goldschlager Kahlua
#4 Bailey’s Goldschlager Butterscotch Schnapps Jagermeister
#5 Bailey’s Goldschlager 151 Proof Rum Kahlua Jagermeister
So you see there’s quite a few, but they’re all variations of pretty much the same thing. Try a few and let us know which one is your favorite!
